Pastor Chris has served as Lead Pastor since December 2009 after serving congregations in Ames and Des Moines. He is a 1987 graduate of Augustana College (SD) and received his M.Div. from Luther Seminary in 1995. He has been greatly influenced by the Lutheran theologian Joseph Sittler, having literally worn out more than one copy of Sittler’s Gravity and Grace. In addition to parish ministry, Pastor Chris has an interest in ecumenism and the dialogue between science and religion. Pastor Chris also enjoys all things related to bicycles and bike racing, music (particularly jazz), his family, and books.
