Racism Conversation

Racism Conversation

During the season of Lent, we are holding a community conversation on racism. On the first two Sundays we viewed the documentary “Unchained: Generational Trauma and Healing” made available by the American Bible Society. This Emmy-nominated film sheds light on the negative traumatic effects of slavery that are still being experienced by individuals and families generations later. You can watch the film on your own by following the link below. The accompanying discussion guide can be used to aid your own thinking or to facilitate small group discussion.

On March 15 and 29 and April 5, Pastor Chris will lead an adult forum on institutionalized racism, “Even the Stones Will Cry Out for Justice” from 9:45-10:30 a.m. in Crabtree Parish Hall. All are welcome to participate in this conversation.

These are first steps on a journey of ongoing learning, conversation, and conversion.
