We are so excited to officially announce our VBS for 2025: Road Trip! All are welcome to join us from Monday July 7th to Thursday July 10th for this incredible experience! VBS is our biggest week of the year of WHLC, filled with community services, new friends, fun activities & a chance for students to deepen their walk with God! This free event is open to all students in Pre-K thru those entering 6th grade in the fall, and we encourage students to invite their family & friends. It’s a fun week you won’t want to miss!
Our VBS follows a daycamp format, and starts at 9am each day. Pre-K programs run until noon, while activities for K-6th graders runs until just before 3:30pm! Lunch is provided by WHLC every day of VBS, and all kids get a free VBS T-Shirt for registering! Students spend time both together as one large cohort for All Camp Activities, and in smaller groups partaking in things such as music, games & Bible Study.
Our theme for this year is Road Trip! It comes by way of the folks at Cokesbury, whose VBS’ we have been using for several years now. Road Trip explores how God journeys alongside up wherever we go, and explores all the awesome pathways God leads us on. Students will get to explore how they can impact their own community here in DSM, and see the great work God is doing all around them!
To register for VBS, simply click on the links above (or on our Facebook page), and fill out the registration forms! There is no cap to the size of VBS, and there is room for everyone (we had over 70 students join us last year)! Of course, to make such a huge and awesome week work here at WHLC every summer, we need tons of support from volunteers, and you’ll find a sign-up below for that as well!
No special experience or skills is required to help at VBS, just a willingness to have fun with the group and experience the week alongside them! Anyone student in 7th grade or up can volunteer, and VBS volunteering is a great way to fill thinks like Silver Cord, volunteer hours, or experience for any job working with younger kids. We’d love to have you serve with us during this fun week!
If you have any questions about VBS, please contact Zach Meyer, Director of Y&F Ministry at zach@whlc.org, or at 515-277-6277, ext. 4. You can also leave any comments, questions or ideas on the registrations forms; we’d love to hear from you! We hope you can join us this summer for what is sure to be a fun week or unforgettable experiences, as we take up the call of the Hero Hotline! See you there!
