Worship at WHLC

Website- Worship

All are welcome to worship in our Christ-centered community of hope and belonging.  Worship is central to our life as followers of Jesus.  Scripture selections come from the
Revised Common Lectionary, a three-year cycle of Bible readings used by most Christians in North America and connect us to the themes of the church year.

Lectionaries have been used since the earliest church, one of many practices that keep us grounded in the faith of our forebears. Though we use a variety of styles and music, we consistently hold to the ancient pattern of Christian worship:

Gathering ~ Word ~ Prayer ~ Meal ~ Sending.

We believe that God is present when we gather and is pleased with the prayers, songs, words, and gifts that we offer. In worship God graciously fills us with good things so that we may be good news for the world.

All baptized Christians are welcome at the Lord’s Table when we celebrate the Sacrament of Holy Communion. Young children may come forward for a blessing. Gluten free wafers are available upon request from the server.
